Welcome to our website and to Pocalla Springs Elementary School. Our school has a strong tradition of excellence and continuous achievement. Highly qualified teachers and staff, supportive parents, and an involved community work together daily to educate, empower, and enrich the students we serve.

Receive a free smoke alarm from the Sumter Fire Dept.  Just call 436-2600.  The fire department will even deliver and install them for free.

Welcome to Pocalla Springs Elementary School!  We hope this school year will prove to be a positive experience for the entire Pocalla Springs family. 

School Supplies:  Students will need pencils, notebook & paper, and a bookbag.  If you need assistance with these items, please contact the school. 

School Hours:
  7:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.  Breakfast will be served between 7:00 a.m. and 7:20 a.m.  Students who arrive before 7:20 report to the cafeteria.  At 7:20, students will begin entering their classrooms.  The tardy bell will ring at 7:45.  After 7:45, parents sign in students at the main office.

Elementary Schools ….7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Closing activities and reviews are paramount, if you need to get your
 child early, you  should plan to get him/her before 1:30 p.m.

Middle Schools ...……8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
High Schools...……… 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Alternative Programs
Academic Learning Center (ALC) & Brewington Academy 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
