What is Pocalla Springs into A.C.T.I.O.N.?
Pocalla Springs into A.C.T.I.O.N. is a 10 week program for girls and boys in grades 3-5. The goal of Pocalla Springs into A.C.T.I.O.N. is to inspire girls and boys to find their inner strength and to celebrate what makes each of them special and unique.
Dates and Times
Pocalla Springs into A.C.T.I.O.N. members meet after dismissal in the cafeteria for a healthy snack. At 2:45 we head to the gym for conversation and learning from each other. We end our session with exercise and energy awards at 4:00.
We meet every Monday and Thursday that school is in session from February 6 – April 27th.
What Should We Wear
It is important that everyone is comfortable when we are participating in Pocalla Springs into A.C.T.I.O.N. Besides exercising, we do many learning activities that involve movement. Therefore, it is important that students wear comfortable but appropriate clothing and sneakers with socks.
Pick Up Times and Locations
Students can be picked up and signed out from our school gym. If we are not there, please wait for us. Sometimes we exercise in the bus loop or are doing activities in other rooms in the building.
Meet the Coaches
Our coaches are teachers here at Pocalla Springs Elementary. Our head coach is Krista Jennings. Our Assistant Coaches are Christina Wodicka, Abigail Timmons, and Elizabeth Keefe. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Our 5k and End of Season Celebration
A 5K event unofficially ends our season. More information will be sent at a later date but each student is asked to bring a running buddy to encourage and cheer them on.
After the season ends, we will have a little celebration of our season. The date has yet to be determined so stay tuned.
Giving Back to the Community
Students work on a Community Service Project to give back to their community. Stay tuned to see what we have planned!
